Whisky and Gin lovers rejoice, The Whiskery - a cellar door, tasting room and cafe - is now open on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Located within the picturesque grounds of the Bellarine Distillery, the rustic timber-lined tasting venue is only nine minutes by car from Bayview Central Curlewis.
Owners Russ Watson and Lorelle Warren have renovated the property’s old farm shed and created a renovated and rustic timber-lined tasting venue.
Behind the bar you’ll find a range of local, national and international whiskeys and gin, including The Whiskery’s own gin label, Teddy & The Fox (named after the family dog and his encounter with a resident fox). A whisky brew will be available soon. Local beer, wine and cider are also on the drinks menu and patrons can feast on homemade pizzas and grazing plates.
Guided tours and tastings are available, and the venue has plenty of room for functions.
With a big fireplace, The Whiskery could soon become a favourite local winter warmer for locals.
Curlewis is fast becoming an attractive destination for people to live, work and play.
The Whiskery is located on the corner of Scotchmans Road and Portarlington Road, Drysdale and open Friday-Sunday 11am-5pm. For more information visit https://www.bellarinedistillery.com.au/ or phone 0468 926 282.
