Art and culture are alive on the Bellarine Peninsula at The Potato Shed, just a short drive away from Bayview Central Curlewis.
No potatoes are on offer, but the multi-purpose arts and cultural centre regularly serves up the best in theatre, music, cabaret and comedy.
The vibrant arts complex, which opened in March 2011, also offers weekly classes and workshops, all-ages events and is available for hire. Local schools, Bellarine Secondary College and St Ignatius College, and the wider regional community all share use of the facility.
The Bellarine home of performing arts has a black box theatre seating 250 people, studios, practice rooms, a green room, dressing rooms, foyer, box office and kitchen, and outdoor spaces. Upcoming program highlights include family-favourite Cinderella, Art and the Environment workshop where residents can learn about and celebrate local biodiversity, and the Roy Orbison and Everly Brothers Tribute Show.
Tickets can be booked at any City of Greater Geelong Customer Service Centres or purchased over the phone (5251 1998) with credit card or from the Potato Shed box office.
Go on, treat yourself to the best local, national and international entertainment just down the road (only six minutes by car) from Bayview Central Curlewis.
The Bellarine Peninsula is an attractive destination for people to live, work and play, in particular, the Drysdale-Clifton Springs-Curlewis area. Be part of creating a new community identity within the Curlewis Growth Corridor. What are you waiting for?
